WHP/CBS21 is looking for a Senior Director

Responsibilities:

Managing news production specifically managing directors/editors/floor crew
Establishing production goals and setting standards for 28+ hours of local news weekly
Review/Direct daily newscasts to ensure quality control, brand compliance, and subsequently provide feedback to all news staff
Recruiting, hiring for production staff effectively
Familiar with  iNews computer system, AVID Newscutter system and new production technology to help achieve the best quality
Collaborate with other managers on news strategies and effectively reach said goals
Requirements:

Must have solid directing skills to provide clear/confident call of news programming.
Will bring strong fiscal experience for both operational and capital expenditures
Must have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple hours of daily newscasts and must have a proven track record of success in building a winning news organization
Journalism degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in news management with noted leadership skills is required
